DUTV.TV is an educational television which cater news related to Dhaka University and views about education, culture, society, politics, science, and technology to students, faculty members, and everyone who has access to the Internet. It was founded by Professor A J M Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan, PH.D with a view to providing hands-on training to students about broadcasting and doing experiments with television programs and genres. The studio was built with financing from the Academic Innovation Fund, Window 3, under the Higher Education Quality Enhancement Project (HEQEP) of the University Grants Commission of Bangladesh. A fund of taka 30 million ($375,000) was allocated to carry out this project from 2015 to 2017. An expert team involving faculty members, broadcast engineers, sound and light engineers, and architects under the leadership of the Project Director Professor Dr. A J M Shafiul Alam Bhuiyan completed the studio. UGC Chairman Professor Abdul Mannan along with the then Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. A A M S Arefin Siddik inaugurated the studio on July 18, 2017.
